TL;DR

Chief of Staff (Fintech): Driving strategic execution and operational cadence for the expansion of a finance super app with an accent on aligning leadership and solving cross-functional blockers. Focus on translating high-level strategy into measurable progress through OKRs, decision tracking, and high-impact special projects.

Location: Hybrid: Must be based in Japan and work from the Tokyo office at least 3 days per week

A leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia expanding into a comprehensive finance super app to help people plan, save, and grow their money.

What you will do

  • Drive strategic execution across finance super app priorities.
  • Build and manage operating rhythm, including OKRs, leadership updates, and accountability tracking.
  • Coordinate major workstreams across product, engineering, licensing, market expansion, and operations.
  • Prepare concise decision memos and performance reviews for the board and leadership.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies to prevent serious project blockers.
  • Own special projects requiring senior judgment and cross-functional authority.

Requirements

  • Strong operational experience driving strategic execution across multiple teams.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and work directly with founders, CEOs, and senior stakeholders.
  • Capacity to move from high-level strategy to detailed execution without loss of quality.
  • Strong writing, business analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong English communication skills are required as the main working language.
  • Experience in startups, consulting, strategy, or fintech is a strong advantage.
