What you will do

• Design and execute the go-to-market strategy for Japan, targeting high-value enterprise accounts in media, entertainment, and advertising.
• Cultivate C-suite relationships with Japan's largest firms, navigating unique business culture and long-term relationship building.
• Localize product and marketing strategies to ensure messaging is deeply resonant with the Japanese customer base.
• Recruit, lead, and mentor a local team of enterprise account executives and growth leads to build the Japan office.
• Represent Runway at major industry events and conferences to establish the company as a leading AI partner.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on the Japanese and Asia competitive landscape and regulatory environment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise software, media technology, or high-growth AI startups.
• Native fluency in Japanese and professional fluency in English.
• Existing network of relationships within major Japanese media companies, advertising agencies, or tech conglomerates.
• Deep understanding of Japanese business etiquette and ability to navigate complex organizational hierarchies.
• Comfortable with ambiguity in early-stage international expansion and thinking in first principles.
