What you will do

• Perform software upgrades on Ciena devices including OME6500, RLS, and Waveserver.
• Conduct customer network audits and assessments and prepare Method of Procedure (MOP) documents.
• Coordinate with Project Management to provide daily progress and status reports.
• Identify and resolve upgrade-related issues and alarms for customers.
• Prepare technical prerequisites for software upgrades in advance.
• Validate the status of upgraded devices in coordination with clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunications, or equivalent.
• Deep understanding of optical technologies including OTN, DWDM, and MPLS.
• Hands-on experience with Site Manager and MCP/Navigator.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for network faults and issues.
• Ability to work on a 24/7 platform for maintenance activities.
• Location: Must be based in Portugal.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Ciena equipment (OME6500, RLS, Waveserver).
• Experience working in a NOC environment or with transmission devices.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
