TL;DR

Service Operations Analyst (ITIL): Managing and optimizing IT service operations and infrastructure with an accent on incident, problem, and change management. Focus on driving fault resolution across diverse OS environments and ensuring system stability using professional monitoring and networking tools.

Location: Hybrid model, 3 times a week based in Porto, Portugal. Candidate must be based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit.

What you will do

  • Manage incident, problem, and change processes to ensure rapid fault resolution across multiple concurrent issues.
  • Monitor system health and performance using Nagios.
  • Administer and support core technologies including Windows, Linux, and Solaris operating systems.
  • Utilize networking and security tools such as Juniper, Cisco equipment, TCP/IP, TCPdump, Nessus, and Snort.
  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams to maintain service operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Service Operations Analyst.
  • Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and/or Solaris OS and MS SQL or Oracle databases.
  • Practical experience with Nagios monitoring and networking/security tools (Cisco, Juniper, TCPdump).
  • Strong knowledge of the ITIL framework and its application to service operations.
  • English: B2 level fluency required.
  • Legal right to work in Portugal (EU citizenship or valid permit).
