Senior Network Engineer (Aruba)

TL;DR

What you will do

• Deploy and support enterprise wireless solutions including Aruba, Cisco, and Ubiquiti.
• Configure and troubleshoot routing, switching, VLANs, and network segmentation.
• Diagnose connectivity issues, packet loss, and performance bottlenecks using CLI tools.
• Support ISP/WISP infrastructure including PTP and PTMP wireless systems.
• Monitor network reliability and resolve technical incidents to ensure uptime.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize wireless coverage and network performance.

Requirements

• Must be based in South Africa.
• Must be available during U.S. Business Hours (EST).
• Strong experience in network engineering and infrastructure support.
• Proficiency in routing, switching, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with CLI configurations and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with networking platforms such as Aruba, Cisco, MikroTik, or Ubiquiti.

Nice to have

• Aruba wireless experience or certifications.
• Exposure to ISP/WISP environments.
• RF planning or wireless optimization experience.
• Networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or MikroTik.
• Experience with packet capture and network monitoring tools.
