Senior DevOps Engineer (Energy)

TL;DR

Senior DevOps Engineer (Java/Energy): Improving a Balancing Reserves Procurement Platform for TSOs with an accent on platform reliability, scalability, and software delivery efficiency. Focus on designing complex CI/CD pipelines, managing on-premise Atlassian ecosystems, and optimizing deployment processes across Windows and Linux environments.

Location: Remote (Poland) with required business trips to Berlin (5%)

What you will do

• Design, configure, and operate complex build, test, and deployment pipelines and release processes.
• Manage non-productive deployment environments and resolve CI/CD incidents.
• Implement state-of-the-art CI/CD processes for microservice-oriented Java platforms.
• Define, align, and provide training on DevOps best practices and common standards.
• Provide operational support (9x5) for troubleshooting build, deployment, and infrastructure issues.
• Coordinate infrastructure and network changes across security boundaries.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience working with Java-based applications and enterprise middleware.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps (CI/CD, Git, Jira, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Nexus).
• 3+ years of experience with Octopus Deploy or similar orchestration tools.
• Proficiency in Shell scripting for both Powershell and Linux.
• English: C1 and German: B2 proficiency are necessary.
• Strong understanding of build and deployment concepts for microservices on Windows Server and RHEL.

Nice to have

• Experience with Splunk, PRTG, Grafana, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.
• Knowledge of Camunda Cockpit, Hazelcast Management Center, or Backstage.io.
• Experience with SonarQube or Spring Boot Admin.
