What you will do

• Design and develop networking features in C/C++ and Python for the Linux-based EOS.
• Define functional requirements and technical designs in collaboration with product management and customers.
• Write functional specifications, design documents, and automated test plans to ensure code quality.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers through code reviews.
• Triage and debug complex issues in customer networks alongside support engineers.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (BSc, MS, or PhD).
• High proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Legal entitlement to work in Australia for the duration of employment.

Nice to have

• Strong understanding of UNIX/Linux systems programming and operating systems.
• Interest in and familiarity with L2/L3 networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, IS-IS).
• Experience with distributed systems functions such as messaging, signaling, and databases.
