What you will do

• Set standards and risk appetite for managing various financial risk types.
• Define responses to financial risk regulation changes and funding plan requirements.
• Develop and maintain financial risk policies, stress testing, metrics, and reporting systems.
• Engage with first-line businesses to identify and govern emerging financial risks.
• Model financial risks under various stress scenarios with appropriate calibrations.
• Monitor capital and liquidity risk exposures against internal and regulatory limits.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in financial risk management within financial services.
• In-depth knowledge of banking industry financial risk-related regulations.
• Strong understanding of stress-testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with model development, implementation, and governance.
• Analytical mindset for breaking down complex problems using data.
• Must be based in South Africa.
