TL;DR
Java Engineer (Java/Spring): Creating, developing and supporting advanced business applications for the Wholesale Lending line of business with an accent on microservices architecture and REST APIs. Focus on building Lifecycle Management applications and integrating with distributed services for global banking operations.
Location: Manila (One Ayala Tower 2)

International part of the ING organization providing services for Wholesale and Retail Banking across the world.
What you will do
- Develop and support advanced business applications for the Wholesale Lending line of business.
- Build and deploy applications specifically for Lifecycle Management.
- Propose and implement technical solutions using the newest available technologies.
- Collaborate with engineers, business stakeholders, and counterparts in Manila and the Netherlands.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Java 8; knowledge of Java 11+ is preferred.
- Experience with Spring modules, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Batch.
- Proven experience in developing Java Microservices and REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of Hibernate Framework, Object-Oriented Programming, and Design Patterns.
- Knowledge of Micro-Services architecture, scalability, and container technologies like Docker and OpenShift.
- Experience with Continuous Delivery tools: Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, TFS, or Azure DevOps.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of ING Frameworks: Merak, Touchpoint, and Kafka.
- Ability to write scripts using Bash or Python.
- Prior experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment.
