IT Internal Auditor (AI)

Location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia; the position is listed in Kuala Lumpur and includes approximately 20% travel.

What you will do

• Support risk-based, end-to-end IT audit engagements across global systems, applications, cloud, infrastructure, and information security environments.
• Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls, document testing and fieldwork, and prepare audit reports aligned with global standards.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders and track corrective actions through remediation.
• Lead walkthroughs, risk assessments, and control design discussions while identifying IT and information security risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Support advisory work for system implementations, digital transformation, process automation, AI governance, data usage, and advanced analytics.
• Improve audit quality and consistency through data analytics, automation, emerging technologies, and modern IT audit methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Internal Audit, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT Audit, Internal Audit, IT Risk, or a similar role.
• Knowledge of IT control frameworks such as COBIT and NIST, internal control principles, IT general controls, cybersecurity, cloud, and system risks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to translate technical risks for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• CISA, CISSP, CEH, or relevant IT certifications are preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in a Big Four or IT audit and consulting environment.
• Interest or developing expertise in AI, data analytics, automation, and other emerging technologies.
