Middle/Senior Data Engineer

TL;DR

Middle/Senior Data Engineer (Data Engineering): Developing and maintaining data pipelines and governance systems on Databricks with an accent on data contracts, access automation, and PII classification. Focus on designing scalable data access architectures using Infrastructure-as-Code and ensuring high data quality across distributed processing environments.

Location: Must be based in Poland, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Armenia, or Serbia. Working time zone: CET.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and governance systems using Databricks (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake).
• Perform data profiling and classification to identify PII and domain-specific data.
• Design and automate data access systems and contracts using Terraform.
• Review access architectures to ensure reusability and flexibility.
• Monitor pipelines and quality checks to meet performance expectations.
• Maintain documentation for data contracts and governance processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Spark/PySpark for streaming and batch processing.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, GCP, or AWS.
• Knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• English proficiency: Upper-Intermediate (B2).
