Senior Data Analytics Engineer (Finance)

TL;DR

Senior Data Analytics Engineer (SQL/Python): Building and optimizing the Finance data platform, data models, and pipelines with an accent on scalability, reusable data products, and financial metrics. Location: Hybrid (Tallinn, Estonia) - must be available for at least 12 monthly in-office days

What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize elements of the Finance data platform and data warehouse.
• Integrate data flows and processes with ERP, Finance systems, and third-party solutions.
• Implement data models, metrics, and reports/dashboards within the BI platform.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Platform, and Finance stakeholders to improve data infrastructure.
• Analyze and document business logic and data structures while proactively solving technical bugs.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar technical subject.
• 2–4 years of experience in data or analytics engineering.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling (OLTP/OLAP) and at least one programming language (e.g., Python).
• Solid understanding of engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience with BI tools such as Looker or PowerBI.
• English: Proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed data processing (Spark or similar).
• Knowledge of cloud systems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with modern data stack tools like dbt, Airflow, or Fivetran.
• Prior exposure to accounting and financial data.
