What you will do

• Define product baselines, including standard requirements, system architecture, and ICDs.
• Lead and perform safety analyses such as Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and FMEA/FMECA.
• Perform system-level trade-offs to evaluate design changes based on mission needs.
• Manage internal interfaces between various spacecraft subsystems to ensure consistency.
• Coordinate with AIT and Operations teams to define test plans and operational concepts.
• Contribute to the maintenance and integration of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in design, implementation, integration, and V&V of embedded flight software.
• Operational experience including preparation, rehearsals, and on-console activities.
• Proficiency in performing FMECA, reliability analysis, or hazard analysis.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Matlab, or equivalent.
• English: Working level proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Experience with other subsystems such as Structure, Thermal, Avionics, Propulsion, Communications, or GNC.
• Experience with requirement decomposition from mission to unit level.
• Knowledge of system-level testing, specifically hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing.
• Working level proficiency in Japanese.
