What you will do

  • Provide actuarial analyses regarding pricing, reserving, and outwards reinsurance to steer SPS strategy.
  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelining to ensure efficient and up-to-date analysis.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the portfolio management framework for the SPS class.
  • Monitor key performance drivers at a class level to support underwriting improvements.
  • Develop strategic analytics, tools, and insights to optimize portfolios and enable smarter decision-making.
  • Collaborate with actuarial, ITS, and underwriting operations units to resolve issues and achieve business priorities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in the specialty insurance market, specifically with Wholesale products and operations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for manipulating and analyzing large, complex data sets.
  • Ability to independently problem-solve and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Strong communication and data visualization skills for disseminating management information.
  • Proven track record of leading projects and initiatives involving diverse business leaders.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SQL and database management.
  • Awareness of advanced analytics and data science methodologies.
