Location: Must be based in Tokyo, Japan (Hybrid: on-site at least twice a week).

What you will do

• Define and implement system test campaigns in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Architect and optimize avionics testbenches for flight-like testing environments.
• Develop and execute flight procedures, displays, and checklists for mission operations.
• Direct rigorous software and hardware system test campaigns to verify spacecraft readiness.
• Operate the spacecraft on-console from the Mission Control Center during lunar missions.
• Close the Verification and Validation (V&V) loop by mapping requirements to empirical test data.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in executing complex test campaigns or operations.
• Professional level English (written and verbal proficiency for complex technical concepts).
• Experience with avionics testbenches, hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure, or mixed hardware-software configurations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in writing detailed test specifications and reports for mission-critical systems.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Tokyo, Japan at least twice a week.

Nice to have

• Japanese language proficiency.
• Familiarity with Mission Control Software (Yamcs, Grafana, SFTP).
• Proficiency in Python for test automation and Git for configuration control.
• Background in lunar, deep-space, or planetary missions.
