Salary: $149,000 – $174,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and sustain hybrid environments for the Missile Defense Space Center, managing the full lifecycle of secure, air-gapped on-premises infrastructure.
• Administer and harden VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.0 and design scalable cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud and Azure for US Government.
• Implement and maintain container platforms including VKS (Kubernetes), Docker, and Podman, along with their respective registries.
• Develop automation using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell to expand the platform's self-service consumption model.
• Perform daily system monitoring, backups, and cybersecurity mitigations in accordance with DoD policies and SLAs.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and application delivery teams to ensure integration and compliance.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• 14+ years of general work experience and 7+ years of IT experience, including 3 years in cloud engineering roles.
• Experience with enterprise hardware stacks such as HPE Synergy, HPE Nimble, and NetApp ONTAP.
• Proficiency with automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, HELM, and Bash.
• Experience with continuous delivery tools such as VCFA Blueprints, GitLab, and ArgoCD.
• DoD 8570 certification (e.g., Sec+) required within 60 days of hire.

Nice to have

• Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., VCP-VCF Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Experience administering Red Hat Linux (RHEL 9.x) and scripting in Python or YAML.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Federal cloud initiatives.
