What you will do

• Design and implement software for satellite build, test, and mission operations.
• Collaborate with Mission Operations and Flight Software teams to define mission architecture.
• Work across the full stack using Rust and TypeScript/Vue.
• Facilitate software design reviews and code reviews to ensure technical alignment.
• Support internal and external customers in an on-call capacity for ground tests and flight operations.
• Mentor junior engineers to foster strong software engineering practices.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual) due to ITAR export control regulations.
• Must be able to work in-person at the headquarters in Torrance, CA.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in backend and frontend development.

Nice to have

• Experience with space missions or satellite ground segments.
• Proficiency in Rust or other statically-typed languages.
• Experience with modern frontend tooling like Vue or React.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, and gRPC.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity standards like SOC2 or FedRAMP.
