What you will do

• Deputise for the AMLO and manage regulatory reporting and interactions with BaFin and FIU.
• Maintain compliance with German GwG, BaFin guidance, MiCAR, and EU Transfer of Funds Regulation.
• Design, execute, and test second-level AML controls and remediate audit findings.
• Oversee high-risk compliance, including PEPs, Source of Wealth assessments, and transaction monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate compliance workflows and data-led processes.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of AML/CFT experience in financial services, fintech, or crypto.
• Deep knowledge of German GwG, BaFin expectations, and FIU reporting.
• Understanding of crypto-native risks, including blockchain analytics and self-hosted wallets.
• Fluency in both English and German.
• Must be based in Vienna, Austria for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a deputy MLRO or senior analyst.
