Senior Software Engineer (Web3)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Go/Web3): Designing and operating highly scalable platform services for the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) with an accent on reliability, scalability, and distributed systems. Focus on building production-grade backend services, improving workflow execution durability, and driving architectural scaling.

Location: Global Remote. Candidates are asked to overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Salary: €100K – €130K (Spain annual cash range)

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate scalable platform services to improve the reliability and performance of the CRE platform.
• Lead the development of production-grade backend services and APIs for internal and external consumers.
• Drive architectural improvements to enable vertical and horizontal platform scaling.
• Enhance workflow execution durability and resilience through rigorous testing and engineering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver platform initiatives from design to deployment.
• Reduce operational silos by improving documentation and shared technical knowledge.

Requirements

• Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale production platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Go (Golang).
• Strong experience designing and operating distributed systems and production APIs.
• Ability to deliver high-quality software through rigorous engineering practices.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to evaluate complex architectural trade-offs.
• Remote work capability with EST time zone overlap.

Nice to have

• Experience defining and improving service reliability through SLOs and SLIs.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Solidity, or other backend technologies.
• Strong interest in blockchain infrastructure and Web3.
• Experience building decentralized applications (dApps) or financial infrastructure.
