Location: Must be based in the United States. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence 4 days a week at designated sites (e.g., Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Colorado, California) and up to 50% travel.
Salary: $151,200 – $226,800 USD

What you will do
- Lead the design, build, and process development of injection molding tools for new product development.
- Provide technical leadership in plastic part design, mold flow analysis, and polymer rheology.
- Guide and coordinate vendor tool design and qualification activities to meet application requirements.
- Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and statistical methods (DOE, MSA, SPC) to support robust process development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, and Operations teams.
- Ensure adherence to established product design, scientific injection molding processes, and SPI standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8+ years with an advanced degree.
- Solid understanding of plastic part design and injection molding guidelines.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD packages and data analysis software.
- Experience with mold flow analysis and rheology for crystalline and amorphous plastics.
- Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
Nice to have
- Degree in plastics, mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
- Previous experience in the medical device industry.
- Relevant molding certifications.
- Component qualification experience.
