Senior Java Backend Engineer (Java/Spring Boot)

TL;DR

Senior Java Backend Engineer (Java/Spring Boot): Building and enhancing a Java & Spring Boot based enterprise application for secure profile-based interactions with internal systems with an accent on scalable microservices and REST APIs. Focus on developing high-performance distributed systems and contributing to large-scale data processing pipelines.

Location: Hybrid: Must be based in or be able to relocate to Atlanta or New York, Georgia, USA (onsite presence required at least 2 days per week)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend systems.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency in Java (8/11/17+) with a solid foundation in OOP, data structures, and design patterns.
• Hands-on expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.
• Experience in microservices architecture and REST API design.
• Strong experience working with SQL databases.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to Atlanta or New York (onsite 2 days per week)

Nice to have

• Experience with Modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20).
• Experience with AI/ML integrations.
• Exposure to Data Engineering or Big Data technologies.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience working in financial services or fintech environments.
