Principal DevOps Engineer (E-commerce)

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates; hybrid onsite role

What you will do

• Own the technical architecture of AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes/EKS, and networking.
• Design and improve Jenkins, GitLab CI, and ArgoCD pipelines for Magento and microservices delivery.
• Define observability, alerting, SLO/SLI, and incident-response standards using Grafana, NewRelic, and OpenSearch.
• Lead Terraform and Helm infrastructure-as-code practices, enabling consistency, reuse, and self-service.
• Act as the final technical escalation point for complex production incidents, leading root-cause analysis and follow-up engineering work.
• Set security and reliability baselines, evaluate tooling and vendors, and mentor engineers through design reviews and architecture guidance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering.
• Deep hands-on production-scale expertise with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in Terraform, Helm, configuration management, and infrastructure automation.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go, with solid software-engineering fundamentals.
• Experience designing CI/CD at scale, observability systems, incident management, SLOs, and MTTR reduction.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, cost optimization, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, patching, and disaster recovery.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Magento/Adobe Commerce, microservices, high-volume retail, or similarly large platforms.
