TL;DR

Mercer Marsh Benefits Leader (Employee Benefits): Leading the Hong Kong P&L and driving sustainable growth of employee benefit and risk solutions with an accent on strategic business direction and market expansion. Focus on leading complex client engagements, managing a team of 100+ staff, and executing long-term business strategies.

Location: Must be based in Hong Kong (Hybrid: minimum 3 days per week in office)

What you will do

  • Lead and be accountable for all aspects of the MMB Hong Kong P&L, ensuring sustainable growth and innovation.
  • Drive revenue growth through new business acquisition, market diversification, and cross-selling to current clients.
  • Lead complex client engagements with full accountability for revenue, profitability, and service delivery.
  • Manage a team of approximately 100 staff, providing mentorship and leadership to achieve business targets.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partner with Marsh Risk Hong Kong to maximize business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute long-term business strategies and operational frameworks to drive efficiency and excellence.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of experience in the employee benefits arena, specifically within Hong Kong and Asia markets.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and retention directly with executive-level clients.
  • Strong strategic planning skills, commercial acumen, and a bias for results.
  • Experience building and leading sizeable teams to drive continued business success.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English; ability to adapt approach for various professional audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin languages.
