What you will do

• Design and build platform components for AI-driven workflow automation systems.
• Develop shared infrastructure for workflow orchestration, state management, and execution tracking.
• Create internal platform tools to increase engineering velocity and system consistency.
• Improve APIs, service frameworks, and backend standards across engineering teams.
• Design systems for workflow visibility, tracing, monitoring, and operational control.
• Enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of core platform services.

Requirements

• Experience in platform engineering, backend systems, or distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of APIs, system architecture, and service-oriented design.
• Proven ability to design scalable systems that support multiple services and teams.
• Expertise in workflow systems, orchestration, or event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on engineering mindset with ownership from design through to production.
• Must be based in China to collaborate with Malaysia-based teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Node.js, Python, Java, or similar backend technologies.
• Knowledge of observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting).
• Experience with CI/CD systems and deployment automation.
• Background in fintech, insurance, or large-scale operational systems.
