Game Animator (Unreal Engine): Creating expressive character performances and responsive gameplay animations for a PvE co-op action game with an accent on rigging, implementation, and final polish. Location: Must be legally authorized to work and reside in the United States.
Salary: $60 – $70 per hour.

What you will do
- Create high-quality character, gameplay, and combat animations.
- Bring personality and charm to characters through performance and facial animation.
- Rig, skin, and prepare assets for animation.
- Implement, iterate, and polish animation directly in Unreal Engine.
- Collaborate with Design and Engineering to ensure responsive and readable gameplay.
- Identify bottlenecks and improve workflows through tooling and AI-assisted processes.
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work and reside in the United States.
- Portfolio demonstrating exceptional character and gameplay animation.
- Strong understanding of character acting, timing, and physicality.
- Experience implementing animation content in Unreal Engine.
- Strong rigging skills.
- Ability to independently own a discipline with minimal oversight.
- Strong written communication skills for a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
Nice to have
- Experience as a Technical Animator or Tech Artist.
- Experience building tools, pipelines, or procedural systems.
- Experience shipping indie games, mods, or significant personal projects.
- Familiarity with anime-inspired visual styles.
- Experience with cooperative action games or boss-focused encounters.
