What you will do
- Administer and maintain Windows, Linux, and Unix environments for optimal performance.
- Operate cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and O365 for enterprise workloads and containerization.
- Manage, configure, and troubleshoot VMware-based virtualized infrastructure.
- Monitor network reliability and performance using tools such as SolarWinds and Datadog.
- Lead network-related incident resolution, ensuring SLAs are met and escalating when needed.
- Implement secure networking best practices across on-premise and cloud environments and maintain network documentation (topology maps and procedures).
Requirements
- Onsite in the Los Angeles, California area to support multiple customers.
- Strong experience with Cisco Nexus/Arista/Meraki switches, Cisco Wireless Controllers, and Windows/Linux/Unix environments using ServiceNow ticketing.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, O365, VMware, virtualization/containerization, Infoblox, DNS, and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Rubrik and Zerto.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, routing protocols, and network monitoring tools like SolarWinds.
- Familiarity with automation and scripting; strong problem-solving and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Nice to have
- Network troubleshooting experience in data center environments (Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki, Arista).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automating server and cloud operations.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms and endpoint protection.
- Experience with infrastructure capacity planning and performance tuning.
