Focus on managing Terraform-based IaC, optimizing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, and ensuring adherence to federal security frameworks like NIST and FedRAMP.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Washington, D.C. for onsite work 4 days per week.

What you will do

• Design and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure including VMs, VNets, and PaaS services.
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Build and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines within GitLab.
• Deploy and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
• Implement security practices aligned with NIST, RMF, and FedRAMP standards.
• Automate cloud operations and system configurations using PowerShell and Bash.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance or higher required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to work onsite in Washington, D.C. 4 days per week.
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure and Terraform.
• Demonstrated production experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).

Nice to have

• Experience supporting DoD or civilian federal agency cloud programs.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
• Experience with Azure serverless services (Functions, Logic Apps).
• FinOps or Azure Cost Management experience.
