What you will do

• Design and develop mission-critical distributed systems for securities finance and execution management.
• Build end-to-end applications covering both client-side interfaces and server-side infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams in Sweden and New York to expand asset class coverage.
• Troubleshoot system performance and implement corrective actions in production environments.
• Contribute to a DevOps-oriented culture with a focus on CI/CD methodologies.

Requirements

• Must be based in Umeå, Sweden for onsite work.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in designing and developing mission-critical distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Java and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Experience with Golang, Python, React, AWS, Kubernetes, gRPC, Protobuf, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, and Docker.
• Understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and technical requirements for financial systems.
