Software Engineer (.NET)

TL;DR

Location: Fully remote across the UK (occasional meet-ups in Newcastle); Must have full working rights in the UK (no visa sponsorship provided)

What you will do

• Develop and enhance applications using C#, .NET Core, and Angular.
• Maintain and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, and stored procedures.
• Support and modernize legacy components through service decomposition and architectural improvements.
• Design and document scalable technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and cloud-hosted environments within AWS.
• Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota for priority incidents.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of commercial software engineering experience using C# and .NET / .NET Core.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and frontend development with Angular.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
• Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and modern architectural patterns.
• Experience working with AWS environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Must be legally authorised to work in the UK.

Nice to have

• Experience modernising legacy applications.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude.
• Exposure to DevSecOps, monitoring, and observability tooling.
• Experience as a technical lead, mentor, or subject matter expert.
