What you will do

• Design and implement complex fullstack features, including backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces.
• Utilize AI agents like Claude Code and Cursor as the primary starting point for development and planning.
• Perform rigorous AI-assisted code reviews and establish high quality standards for AI-generated outputs.
• Lead small to medium technical initiatives, managing dependencies and stakeholder communication.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and direct feedback.
• Improve overall system effectiveness by proposing and implementing enhancements to code quality and team processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building web applications, backend services, and APIs.
• Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel.
• Proven ability to integrate AI agents into a professional development workflow.
• Capability to evaluate architectural trade-offs and make defensible technical decisions.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring other engineers.
• Must be based in the USA, Canada, UK, or Australia.
