Salary: $86,200 - $107,800 (CAD) for Vancouver / $116,300 - $145,400 (USD) for California

What you will do

• Create client-side applications for the end-to-end vehicle customer journey, including charging and service.
• Collaborate with UX/UI and product designers to build immersive, reactive applications.
• Partner with data systems engineers to define endpoint integration requirements.
• Develop, unit test, and document performant code with a focus on memory usage and load times.
• Define and grow the end-to-end testing strategy and frameworks.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to the team's architectural vision.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale enterprise systems.
• Experience with distributed systems capable of handling millions of transactions per second.
• Proficiency in full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript (NodeJS, ExpressJS, React).
• Experience with AWS Lambdas or other serverless compute services.
• Proficiency with HTML5, SASS/LESS, REST/GraphQL APIs, and JSON.
• Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, and Cypress.io.

Nice to have

• Strong understanding of Web Accessibility (a11y).
• Knowledge of caching, security, and privacy considerations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
