What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable big data pipelines and commercial products end-to-end.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to define requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
• Implement comprehensive testing and performance tuning to ensure system stability and uptime.
• Contribute to the product and technical roadmap by analyzing trade-offs between business goals and technical options.
• Write secure, testable, and well-documented code adhering to clean code principles.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and building big data pipelines.
• 3+ years of experience working in Agile environments (preferably Scrum).
• Proficiency in Apache Spark and strongly-typed languages (Java or Scala preferred).
• Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating external services.
• Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Must be based in Brazil.

Nice to have

• Experience with functional programming languages, specifically Scala.
• Strong understanding of building low-latency, high-throughput scalable back-end systems.
• Experience working with various data formats such as Parquet, JSON, XML, and relational data.
• Previous experience in the Cyber Security domain.
