What you will do

• Hire, manage, and mentor a team of technicians, apprentices, and assistants.
• Coordinate with cross-functional groups, management, and Project Leadership to ensure study success.
• Review protocols, assign staff responsibilities, and lead daily/weekly operational meetings.
• Develop and edit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and investigate process deviations.
• Perform technical in-life procedures, including therapeutic agent administration and animal care.
• Record and manage study data using laboratory information management systems.

Requirements

• Experience with preclinical in vivo pharmacology or oncology studies in mice.
• BS/MS degree in biology, pharmacology, or related field, or minimum 5 years of related experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience.
• Understanding of animal welfare and clinical testing regulations (e.g., AAALAC, CLIA).
• Ability to work onsite in Rockville, MD, including rotating weekends and holidays.

Nice to have

• AALAS certification (LAT or LATG).
• Experience in a contract research organization (CRO) or industry setting.
