TL;DR

Manager, Social Art Director (Ecommerce): Leading the ideation and execution of brand-right social content across owned, paid, and retail channels with an accent on social-first creative and Gen Z/Alpha cultural relevance. Focus on managing creative talent, directing high-impact content, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to evolve the brand's social presence.

Location: Remote (Must be based in New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA for occasional on-site shoots)

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 base + bonus

What you will do

  • Ideate and execute original social content across organic, paid, and retail channels.
  • Lead creative brainstorming and oversee content execution to grow engagement and brand love.
  • Manage, mentor, and support a Social Media Coordinator to help them grow creatively.
  • Source and manage creative collaborations with influencers and culturally relevant creators.
  • Translate marketing and retail briefs into platform-native social-first ideas.
  • Ensure brand integrity while pushing creative boundaries across Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in social media with a creative or art direction background.
  • Proven experience managing and growing creative talent (at least one direct report).
  • Deep understanding of current cultural trends, specifically for Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
  • Expertise in writing briefs and managing content from sourcing to final assets.
  • Must be based in New York City or Los Angeles for on-site creative moments.
  • Strong communication skills for selling ideas and navigating approval processes.
