TL;DR
Principal Emulation Engineer (Connectivity Silicon): Developing and maintaining emulation models for high-performance connectivity silicon with an accent on Palladium, Veloce, and Zebu platforms. Focus on bridging RTL design and real-world system behavior, enabling early firmware bring-up, and optimizing hardware/software co-validation flows.

Salary: $150,680–$225,700 per annum

What you will do
- Execute emulation model bring-up, test development, and debug for connectivity silicon programs.
- Implement platform configurations, transactors, speed bridges, and protocol adapters.
- Engage with EDA and emulation hardware vendors to resolve platform and tooling issues.
- Develop HW/SW enablement flows and automation scripts to support RTL validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and improve validation coverage.
- Maintain emulation environment productivity and reliability within assigned programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in EE, CS, or related field with 7+ years of experience (or Master's/PhD with 3+ years).
- Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.
- Hands-on experience with SoC emulation platforms like Palladium, Veloce, or Zebu.
- Strong background in test planning, simulation, and debug in Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Perl, Tcl, or UNIX shell.
- Experience with SoC development flows and system-level validation.
Nice to have
- Experience with networking devices or mixed-signal designs (PHY, Layer-2/Layer-3).
- Familiarity with connectivity-focused silicon like ODSP, PCIe/CXL retimers, or Ethernet PHYs.
- Experience with firmware or software bring-up using emulation platforms.
