Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure (Citizen Dev)

Location: Singapore; work from the Singapore office five days a week

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve internal citizen-developer platforms, tools, automations, and applications.
• Develop secure software development lifecycle practices, guardrails, APIs, contracts, and self-service tooling for multiple engineering groups.
• Build and operate Temporal-based workflow infrastructure with multi-tenancy, high availability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Strengthen Kubernetes and GitOps foundations using ArgoCD, Helm, and Terraform.
• Partner with application teams and citizen developers, document standards and reference architectures, and improve developer experience.
• Lead incident response for workflow services and drive long-term fixes through design reviews, code reviews, and on-call support.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software or platform engineering, building and operating production backend or platform services.
• Strong hands-on experience with a strongly typed backend language such as Golang or Java, plus familiarity with Python or Bash for tooling and automation.
• Experience building internal platforms or developer tooling used by multiple teams, with a strong focus on developer experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes, GitOps practices, and tools such as ArgoCD and Terraform.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams, translate platform constraints into clear APIs and development paths, and drive complex problems to resolution.

Nice to have

• Experience building platforms for operations, finance, analysts, or other non-product engineering users.
• Experience with low-code, no-code, or citizen-developer environments.
• Experience with Temporal or similar workflow systems such as Cadence, Step Functions, or Airflow.
• Experience operating large-scale stateful workloads such as Redis, Cassandra, or HBase in production.
