What you will do

• Support products used in medical procedures based on business needs.
• Represent R&D to define effective, reliable, and cost-effective processing methods for manufacturing operations.
• Provide technical support for product and process development, including field-related activities.
• Support introduction and implementation of product, process, or materials changes in manufacturing.
• Participate in sourcing, testing, and approving materials or components.
• Design studies and labs to investigate life science questions within your expertise; troubleshoot equipment and product issues and deliver technical solutions.
• Provide direction and own deliverables from suppliers and vendors; mentor junior engineers and/or technicians.

Requirements

• Level 8 Degree in Engineering/Science (or related) with at least 2 years of relevant direct engineering experience.
• Experience in medical device technology; interventional vascular devices experience is advantageous.
• Experience with biomedical materials, processing knowledge, and medical device design procedures.
• Proven track record in innovative design, product development, and manufacturing.
• Ability to work proactively with cross-functional teams across R&D and post-market projects.
• Ability to clearly document work and present test results and ideas to varied audiences.
