System Engineer

Location: Tokyo, Japan; hybrid, with an expectation to work an average of 2 days per week from an HPE office.

What you will do

• Deliver assigned technical tasks throughout the project delivery cycle.
• Provide systems management support and contribute to detailed technical designs for customer environments.
• Configure systems, troubleshoot errors and problems, and monitor or test system performance.
• Work under the supervision of a technical lead and collaborate with customer representatives.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and team members.
• Participate in technical communities or professional events and apply relevant knowledge tools.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of technical experience and an Associate of Arts/Science or equivalent two-year degree in computer science or a related field; without a degree, 2–4 years of total relevant technical experience.
• Sufficient technical knowledge to assist with specific deliverables and demonstrate understanding of the assigned technical discipline.
• Ability to communicate concepts to teammates and peers.
• Ability to produce basic documentation to required standards.
• Fundamental technical knowledge and the ability to work independently within defined parameters.
