What you will do

• Develop and implement Figma's core features for iPhone and iPad using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, and fellow engineers to design and deliver delightful mobile experiences.
• Participate in user research and testing to better understand customer needs and pain points.
• Take joint responsibility for the testing, releasing, and maintenance of the mobile applications.
• Create and document architectural designs and requirements for new mobile features.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to the overall engineering culture.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience building iOS applications.
• Extensive understanding of mobile product development practices.
• Ability to write maintainable, performant code that delivers tangible user value.
• Strong product sense and a desire to deeply understand users.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience as a tech lead or project lead for mobile-first experiences complementing web features.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, React, Python, or Ruby.
• Ability to create first-draft UI designs in code using mobile UI/UX patterns.
• Experience with Android app development or maintaining API endpoints for mobile.
