Location: Must be based in Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, or North Carolina (exceptionally well-qualified candidates in other East Coast locations will also be considered)

Salary: $180,000 — $247,500 USD

What you will do

• Partner with the sales team to help customers solve business problems using the Databricks platform
• Provide technical leadership to facilitate the evaluation and adoption of Databricks
• Consult on big data architecture and execute proof of concepts for strategic customer projects
• Build and present reference architectures and demonstrate applications to customers
• Promote open source projects like Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow in developer communities
• Travel to meet customers within the assigned territory

Requirements

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role, preferably with big-data technologies
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems
• Proficiency in programming and debugging in Python, SQL, Scala, Java, or R
• Experience building solutions with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with Data Engineering (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and Data Warehousing technologies
• Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or similar
