Embedded Software Engineer II (IoT)

Salary: PLN 19,166.67 gross monthly minimum base pay

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++ for Ring devices.
• Define and develop embedded subsystems for connectivity, streaming, power management, sensors, and security.
• Work across the full development cycle, from architecture and implementation through testing and production release.
• Collaborate with hardware, QA, cloud, and application teams on integrated product experiences.
• Review code, contribute to technical designs, and participate in cross-team architecture decisions.
• Debug hardware and software issues using JTAG, UART, protocol analyzers, and real devices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience in embedded development with C or C++ and in computer architecture and embedded wireless systems.
• Experience with ARM CPUs, low-level drivers, interrupt service routines, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience shipping embedded products from prototype to production at scale.
• Strong communication skills, proactive risk identification, and the ability to drive solutions across teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with BLE or Wi-Fi, battery-powered products, SPI, I2C, and UART.
• Experience with IAR, Keil, Git, software testing, embedded Linux, or FreeRTOS.
• Python or another scripting language, AWS, or GenAI application development experience.
• Master's degree or higher in a related field.
