TL;DR

Staff Design Engineer (Web3): Bridging design, product, and engineering by building production-ready features with an accent on rapid prototyping and design-led development. Location: Must be based in Canada (Remote-friendly with optional office access in Montreal and Toronto).

Salary: $190,000+ CAD.

What you will do

  • Own product features end-to-end, from initial design concepts to writing production-ready frontend code.
  • Replace static mockups with functional prototypes to validate ideas and de-risk product decisions.
  • Drive design-led development by partnering with backend and core engineering teams.
  • Evolve the design system and component libraries to ensure consistency across web and mobile.
  • Act as a force multiplier by helping the design team ship in code and integrate AI tools into their workflows.
  • Balance speed and craft to deliver polished, high-quality user experiences on tight timelines.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Canada.
  • Proven hybrid experience owning both design and code implementation in production environments.
  • Deep technical understanding of modern frontend development (React, TypeScript, Node, Vue).
  • Strong product taste with a portfolio demonstrating live products you designed and built.
  • English: C1 proficiency required.
  • Builder mindset with the ability to define problems and drive work to completion with minimal oversight.

Nice to have

  • Experience using AI tools to prototype, iterate, and accelerate development workflows.
  • Passion for Bitcoin and financial empowerment.
