Automation Specialist (Senior) (Ansible): Developing and maintaining infrastructure automations using Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and EDA with an accent on idempotent playbooks, VM lifecycle management, and platform operations. Focus on building reusable automation frameworks, integrating with ITSM platforms, and implementing "detect-to-act" workflows.
Location: Hybrid (Lisbon, Portugal)
Salary: 2,300€ – 2,700€ net monthly

What you will do
- Develop and maintain automations using Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), including playbooks, job templates, and RBAC.
- Create reusable automation standards and frameworks for first-line support and operations teams.
- Automate VM lifecycle management and platform operations for VMware and Azure.
- Implement Event-Driven Automation (EDA) and integrate automation with ITSM platforms.
- Produce technical documentation, including Knowledge Base articles, runbooks, and rollback procedures.
- Measure and report automation value through KPIs such as MTTR, adoption rates, and time savings.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in automation, DevOps, or infrastructure automation roles.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible (ideally AAP) in production environments.
- Experience integrating automation with VMware, Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, and Firewalls.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
- Experience working with both Windows and Linux environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with Event-Driven Automation (EDA).
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience, particularly with Terraform.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD best practices.
- Knowledge of secrets management and audit compliance controls.
