Senior DevOps Engineer (Payments & Settlements): Extending and hardening a payments and settlements platform deployed as Java/Spring microservices with an accent on Dev/Test/Acceptance/Production ownership, automation, and reliability. Focus on building resilient CI/CD and operations (failover, backup/restore, monitoring), improving observability, and supporting HA/DR testing while managing OS/middleware/database lifecycle and security controls.

What you will do
- Own Dev, Test, Acceptance, and Production for payment engine APIs and microservices.
- Automate relentlessly across regression testing (functional, performance, security), deployments, and operations.
- Run reliability activities including failover, backup/restore, monitoring, and HA/DR testing support.
- Manage lifecycle of OS, middleware, and databases, including patching and certificate/access handling.
- Improve observability using Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK; document IT risk and security controls.
- Work in Agile squads against a TPO-prioritised backlog and deliver via CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of DevOps experience.
- Experience with automation/config tools such as Ansible (or similar: Chef, Salt, Terraform).
- Hands-on with Azure DevOps or Google Cloud.
- Monitoring experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
- Strong Red Hat/RHEL background (cert preferred) plus networking and clustered environments.
- CI/CD and tooling experience (Azure DevOps, Git, Sonar, Checkmarx) and automation with Python/Shell/Ansible.
Nice to have
- Experience with virtualization/container technologies (VMware, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Experience with REST APIs, SRE concepts, and RDBMS fundamentals.
- Strong communication skills and a drive to continuously improve.
