Senior Engineer (Security)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; hybrid workplace with at least four full days each week in an hirify.global office

What you will do

• Execute and improve vulnerability lifecycle automation across on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Enrich vulnerability and asset data to improve risk prioritization, ownership, and remediation decisions.
• Design automation pipelines for patch orchestration, validation, reporting, and exception handling.
• Use AI and machine learning to classify security data, detect anomalies, forecast emerging exploit risks, and support risk scoring.
• Develop compliance metrics, Power BI dashboards, and executive-level audit documentation.
• Mentor team members and lead cross-team infrastructure security initiatives.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of infrastructure experience and at least 5 years in the financial services industry.
• Experience managing cyclical security deployment programs and security patch methodologies.
• Experience with Microsoft operating systems, Cisco networks, UNIX/Red Hat, and legacy Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
• Hands-on experience with Wiz, Qualys, vulnerability risk scoring, CVSS, EPSS, KEV, and remediation prioritization.
• Advanced PowerShell, Python, Microsoft Power Automate, API-first automation, and pipeline development skills.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure/M365, Intune, ServiceNow, ITIL, Power BI, and regulated change management environments.

Nice to have

• Red Hat Satellite Server experience.
• Industry-recognized cloud platform certifications, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, security operations, or AWS certifications.
