Senior Manager, Cybersecurity (AI)

Location: Pleasanton, California, USA; hybrid work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

Salary: $216,000–$324,000 USD annual base salary for the primary location; additional US locations offer $182,400–$324,000 USD.

What you will do

• Lead and mature the Security Incident Response function and contribute to the vision of a world-class response program.
• Manage, coach, and develop cybersecurity engineers, including goal setting, performance management, mentoring, and career development.
• Oversee daily security operations, establish KPIs, and report security metrics, risk indicators, and program maturity to senior leadership.
• Architect and evolve a response platform using automation, orchestration, open-source tools, and proprietary technologies.
• Coordinate incident response activities including triage, containment, investigation, and post-incident reviews.
• Partner with risk, legal, and compliance teams to manage security risks and drive remediation across infrastructure, applications, and processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.
• 3+ years of experience leading and developing security teams.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Deep expertise in security incident response, complex investigations, security operations, forensics, threat hunting, or cloud security.
• Experience designing and scaling security programs and technical solutions in cloud-native, SaaS, or large-enterprise environments.
• Strong communication, judgment, technical leadership, and ability to influence directors, VPs, and C-level stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP security.
• Experience designing and implementing agentic AI security solutions.
• Experience in application or product security and secure development practices.
