Location: Must be based onsite in Dexter, Michigan, USA (5 days a week)

Salary: $101,600 – $152,400 USD

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary interface between Manufacturing Engineering, tooling design, and machining operations.
  • Partner with the Sr. Engineering Manager to prioritize and manage equipment through the full lifecycle from design to qualification.
  • Oversee machine shop operations, including managing machinists and optimizing work distribution.
  • Review engineering drawings using GD&T and machining best practices.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and vendors to ensure technical alignment and timely delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant engineering experience.
  • Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
  • Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Dexter, MI.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes and fixture design.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and apply GD&T.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading or supporting a machine shop or tooling environment.
  • Background in medical device or highly regulated manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with controls integration, electrical wiring, or equipment debugging.
