TL;DR

Senior Android Engineer (Fintech): Building a standalone mobile platform for the Trump Accounts program with an accent on 0→1 product development, high-performance architecture, and secure financial workflows. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to New York, NY or Menlo Park, CA (Hybrid: 3 days/week in-office)

Salary: $153,000–$230,000 USD (based on location zone)

What you will do

  • Build intuitive and stable mobile experiences using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of product features from ideation and technical design to release.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver high-impact financial solutions.
  • Champion engineering best practices for code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Mentor junior developers and influence architecture decisions across the team.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional Android development experience.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java with deep knowledge of Android SDK and MVVM patterns.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, Retrofit, and Room.
  • Must be able to work from the New York, NY or Menlo Park, CA office at least 3 days per week.
  • Strong communication skills and a product-focused mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
