TL;DR
IT / Web Scraping / QA Tester Internship / AI Automation (WFH/Remote Work) (Web Scraping, QA, AI): Collecting and validating website data, testing web applications, and automating quality checks with an accent on Python-based scraping, CSV validation, and Cypress testing. Focus on documenting defects, developing AI automation with Recombee, researching platform features such as chatbots, and supporting UI/UX and project coordination when needed.

Location: Remote from home for the entire internship period; company location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

hirify.global is developing an AI-powered platform that matches students and job seekers with educational institutions, training providers, and employment opportunities.

What you will do

  • Scrape website data using HTML, Python, Beautiful Soup, Selenium, PyCharm, and related tools.
  • Compare CSV data with website content, verify code behavior, and store files in Dropbox.
  • Perform manual testing of websites and applications and document bugs, errors, and possible solutions.
  • Develop automated testing workflows with Cypress.
  • Support AI automation testing with Recombee and research platform features such as chatbots and automated responses.
  • Assist with UI/UX prototype analysis and project coordination in Adobe XD and Jira when needed.

Requirements

  • Current student or recent graduate in IT or a related field, including cybersecurity, cloud computing, computer engineering, mechatronics, or electrical-related disciplines.
  • Basic understanding of Java, Python, SQL, HTML, R, and other programming languages.
  • Good time management, attention to detail, ability to work quickly under pressure, and willingness to ask for help when needed.
  • Good command of English; English is the only language spoken on the job.
  • Availability for a minimum internship period of two months; international students and local applicants may apply.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Python, PyCharm, Selenium, Beautiful Soup, Scrapestorm, or Octoparse.
  • Experience with AI development, deep learning, natural language processing, Adobe XD, or DevOps.
  • Knowledge of Bootstrap, AngularJS, EmberJS, jQuery, Ionic, or full-stack development.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Airtable, Jira, Trello, Asana, or Dropbox.
  • Interest in process and workflow automation and ability to suggest creative solutions.

  • Flexible working hours around the usual 9:00–18:00 schedule, including alternatives such as 8:00–17:00 or 7:30–16:30.
  • Reference letter available upon successful completion of the internship.
  • Possibility of part-time or full-time work after the internship based on performance, including for people not based in Malaysia.
  • Primary communication tools are Skype and Dropbox, with possible Microsoft Teams use when working with senior developers.
