TL;DR
Sr Principal Software Engineer (C++): Developing advanced algorithms and expanding software codebases to improve the scalability and throughput of extraction processes with an accent on C++ programming, device modeling, and electromagnetic simulation. Focus on solving complex modeling and simulation challenges, addressing customer requirements, and coordinating feature delivery with R&D, Foundry, and Quality Assurance teams.

What you will do
- Develop and implement advanced algorithms that improve the scalability and throughput of extraction processes.
- Maintain and expand existing C++ codebases to address customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Research and Development, Foundry, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure complete requirements coverage.
- Support successful delivery of new features.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics with at least two years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least four years of experience.
- Strong C++ programming skills and familiarity with basic scripting languages.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, independent-work, and collaboration skills.
- Relevant Ph.D. and research experience are also considered.
Nice to have
- Experience with capacitance extraction, device modeling, interconnect modeling, electromagnetic simulation, timing simulation, or place-and-route tools.
